Isamu Noguchi: The Sculpture of Spaces
and
Hockney on Photography
1. Explain why you selected each of the TWO videos you choose from the selection listed above.
Ever since I was young I've always really enjoyed photography so seeing that there was a video on photography it immediately caught my eye.
2. For each video list/discuss the key concepts you learned.
Hockney would take a picture but then eliminate certain spaces to create a work of art itself. He would also take pictures of one object but take zoomed in pictures of the one object like a building and piece them all back together to make his own piece.
2. How do the videos relate to the readings in the text?
In relation to the text it is that photography is expressed a lot as an art form. I believe that as well because to me photography is the most real that art can express itself. Not only can a photography be art in its natural form like a basic picture. Many photographers now use photo editing and creating in a digital media.
3. What is your opinion of the films? How do they add depth to understanding of the readings and art concepts?
I thought that they were both very informative on their topics.
